Supporting Automation and Global IT for More Than 20 Years

Akraya has been a TTG customer for more than two decades. Over that time, the relationship expanded well beyond traditional IT support. We helped the company build and operate specialized automation systems tied to its business workflows, modernized the infrastructure behind those systems, and continued to support the day-to-day needs of teams in both the U.S. and India.

The Challenge

Akraya needed more than a standard managed services model. Their environment included a custom automation platform that originally ran on on-prem virtual machines and later had to be re-architected for the cloud. Those systems needed to stay cost-efficient, tolerate interruptions, and remain available enough to support core business operations. At the same time, Akraya still needed a trusted IT partner to manage Microsoft 365, user provisioning, collaboration tools, and ongoing support for a distributed workforce.

The TTG Solution

TTG became the long-term technical partner behind both the platform and the surrounding IT environment.

  • Automation Platform Evolution: We helped move the platform from legacy virtual machines into Azure, preserving the business value of the original system while improving flexibility and resilience.
  • Cloud Cost Optimization: We leveraged Azure spot instances to reduce operating costs to a fraction of what always-on compute would have required, without treating downtime as an acceptable tradeoff.
  • Custom Reliability Controls: Because spot capacity has inherent limitations, we built custom safeguards and recovery logic so the platform could stay functional with minimal interruption.
  • Global IT Support: Alongside the platform work, we continued supporting Akraya's broader IT needs across U.S. and overseas teams, including identity, collaboration, access management, and user lifecycle work.
  • Early PowerUser Adoption: Akraya was one of the first customers to use TTG's PowerUser platform, giving them self-service tools for asset management, provisioning, and other internal IT workflows.

The result is a customer relationship that combines custom engineering, cloud operations, and managed IT support in one engagement. For Akraya, that has meant lower infrastructure cost, better uptime for business-critical automation, and a single trusted partner that understands both the platform itself and the people who depend on it.
